Tell us what we got wrong
The four kinds of report this desk acts on, the fields each one needs, how long a response takes, and what happens to a page when a report changes it.
Four kinds of report
A criterion that looks wrong. A threshold that does not hold in your experience, a photograph requirement that cannot be met, or a stop condition that fires when it should not.
A record that has gone out of date. A direction that is no longer identifiable, a source that has disappeared, or a dispute type that is now widely reported.
A link that no longer resolves. Partner links are checked before each deployment, but the target can change between them.
A judging point that is missing. A failure mode you have hit that no page here covers yet.
What a report needs
Four fields, and the fourth is optional. Name the object: the page address or the record identifier. State the observation: what you saw, in the terms the page uses, rather than a general impression.
Describe the evidence: which photographs, which document, or which public thread, and whether it is seller-supplied, your own or third-party. Give a date, because a criterion is judged against the state of things on a date. Add a contact route only if you want a reply.
How it is handled
Reports are read in the order they arrive. A report that changes a page produces the change plus an entry in the change archive giving the date, the page and the reason. The archive is public, so a correction is visible rather than silent.
A report that does not change a page still gets the reasoning, where a contact route was given. Where no route was given, the reasoning is recorded internally and the report is closed.
Expect a first response within thirty days. Reports concerning a figure at the highest review tier are prioritised, because those are the figures most likely to be wrong in a way that matters.
What this desk will not do
It will not add a shop name to the roster, publish a rating, or issue an opinion on authenticity, whatever the evidence supplied. Those refusals are structural rather than a judgement about any particular report.
It will not remove a criterion because a party finds it inconvenient. A criterion is changed when the evidence changes, and the archive shows which of the two happened.
Where to send it
The channel is described in the note that follows this page in the record. There is no account to create and no form on the site that collects anything beyond the four fields above.
The four fields to send
- Object — the page address, or the record identifier from the roster.
- Observation — what you saw, in the terms the page uses.
- Evidence — which photographs, document or public thread, and whether it is seller-supplied, your own, or third-party.
- Date — because a criterion is judged against the state of things on a date.
A contact route is optional. Reports without one are still read and still acted on; they simply cannot receive a reply. This desk collects nothing beyond these fields and creates no account for you.
